My Doctor tells me that for a woman my age, mid forties, 90 is a little high for a resting heart beat, that is after resting in a sitting position for a few minutes, with no previous strenuous activity. That is for me in my in my state of health which is average weight and health. Check with your doctor to see if it is high for you age and weight

For me, he suggested an exercise regimen. But don't start exercising until a Doctor says so and tells you which exercise to do.
