Different countries don't have different prime meridians. There is one Prime Meridian

on Earth, and everybody uses the same one for their longitude measurements.

The Prime Meridian passes through three continents, eight countries and several seas.

It so happens that the Prime Meridian does pass through Spain. On its way through,

from north to south, it passes roughly . . .

-- 84 miles east of Pamplona

-- 46 miles east of Zaragoza

-- 113 miles west of Barcelona

-- 27 miles west of Tortosa

and then ...

-- offshore, 22 miles east of Valencia

-- offshore, 26 miles east of Alicante

-- offshore, 61 miles east of Murcia.

Is Virginia east or west of the Prime Meridian?

Since the Earth is spherical (ball-shaped), you can get to Virginia bytraveling either east or west from the Prime Meridian. But the usual, common answer is "West", because the distance ismuch shorter that way. Also, if you enjoy getting technical, there is a single point on the PrimeMeridian where Virginia is exactly south of you, and there is a single pointon the Prime Meridian where Virginia is exactly north of you.

What is One of two lines parallel to the equator?

"Zero latitude" is the line closest to the equator, because it's the definition of the equator itself. Once you leave the equator, there's no such thing as the "closest line". Any parallel of latitude you draw, no matter how close it is to the equator, I can always draw one that's closer. There's no 'official' set of lines. You can draw as few or as many lines as you want, wherever you want them.

What three european countries are along the primemeridian?

There are four. Scotland, England, France and Spain. Scotland and England are sometimes both included as part of the United Kingdom, which is why sometimes people say there are only three countries on the prime meridian in Europe.
