I don't think that is a really great idea to spank your children at all...... I mean it's not there fault that they see YOU or other people do stuff then they think it's okay to do it...... But I didn't get spanked when i was growing up because my parent came from a different point of view.

Spanking is a useful tool in teaching children what is okay not okay. Most 4-year-olds don't listen, but a spanking will not only deliver the message, but also cause a subconscious association of inappropriate actions with pain and disapproval. Clearly, spanking should not be overused, but sometimes is necessary.

A proper spanking should be applied solely to the buttocks, either covered (shorts or panties) or on the bare. I prefer bare, especially if the child is a bit older. This adds an element of embarassment that will be remembered long past the pain of a spanking and MOST will not want a repeat and will act accordingly.
