Speaking in tongues is 1. when you don't know who or how to pray for some one so the Holy spirits prays through you. 2. It could be you don't know someones language, but you desperately need to tell them about Christ, and it is what he wants then those people will hear you in their own language. For and example if some one speaks a tribal tongue in Africa and you speak only American, and you tell them about something Jesus wants them to hear, then they will hear it in the tribal tongue! It is very cool.
