Pure henna powder from the "Henna" plant (Lawsonia Inermis) is safe for external use on children ages 5 and up. It isn't recommended for anyone younger than that due to the very small potential for an allergic reaction or the child ingesting it. (Think of it like how you use soap, it's fine on the outside, but you don't want to eat it or get it in your eyes.) It is a natural herbal product and will result in shiny healthy hair. This is not to be confused with what is commonly called "compound henna" by cosmetologists, which contains toxic metallic salts and is not healthy for you or your hair. Make sure on the package that it contains ONLY herbal ingredients and NOTHING else. Dark henna shades may use indigo for depth, and "neutral" or "clear" henna will contain Cassia Obovata instead of Lawsonia Inermis, as the cassia does not leave color, only shine. If the henna you are looking at contains artificial dyes or chemicals, leave it on the shelf as it is an inferior product and potentially unsafe.
Yes, although the box says that it shouldn't be used for people under the age of 16, I am 11 and I have used the dye with no problem.
Splat hair dye is to be applied to the hair between the temperatures of 180 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
yes it is safe to dye a child's hair because i know many kids that had it done and they are fine
Splat dye in general is just bright colored dyes. The "glow" dye supposedly glows in black lights. But please don't dye your hair with splat...use special effects dye instead. it lasts a little bit longer and when it fades, it doesn't look like a complete mess.
Certain dyes like Manic Panic are not that dangerous but children should not be around permanent or any chemical hair dyes like Splat
