How did Elvis start?

He recorded a small album for his mothers birthday in 1952, the secretary thought he had a good 'thing' and wrote down his name.. And he later returned to the studio to record more in 1954 and while during a break, he started strumming to "That's all right mama" which had already been made famous by a country singer, and Sam Phillips, immediatley recognised singing this way had more of an impact then what Elvis had previously tried to record, and had Scotty Moore & Bill Black go back into the room with Elvis, and start recording.

Power Ballad by Shawn Coleman?

the song "power ballad" by shawn coleman, is an original composition made for the adult swim television show, "squid billies" in the episode where rusty cuyler sells his soul to the devil to gain the power to shred the guitar, "as well as banjo, drums, base, and a multitude of other instruments" all at the same time, early realizes that rusty's playing bests his own, and so, early fears that his position as male leader of the family will be stolen by rusty, so he first tries sending the reverend into the house to kill rusty, and this is where the power ballad is first heard, after the reverend goes inside, he walks out wearing a rock 'n' roll t shirt, and is apparently high. early then takes matters into his own tentacles and challenges squid satan to a guitar off, squid plays his own composition called "hoof prints" during which he pummels rusty while singing, early simply begins strumming one chord, he starts going faster until he's strumming too fast to see, al we hear is a high pitched whistle, early smiles , and slows down, he then plays a short bluesy/spanish tune, most of the first timer viewing audience are stunned at early's superb playing... but it is soon found out that early sold his soul to the devil to play guitar. at the end we see early and rusty sitting in the house playing guitar and banjo... they have been turned into demons. with the ending credits we hear power ballad playing us out instead of the usual guitar/base slap.

What Are Some Old Navy Theme Songs?

One assumes you mean the U>S. Navy and not the (Old Navy) clothing stores. Obviously Anchors Aweigh qualifies as the service"s Theme song used at Annapolis and played by Navy Bands, etc. It was composed quite modernly- around l904 as I can recall reading in the Maryland WPA state guide. ( many people think the song is older, as it is, after all, official government stuff. Likewise there are many people who think the (Pledge of Allegiance) to the flag dates to the Colonial period. it doesn:t it was written in l892 by a man named Bellamy for a juvenile magazine called Youth:s Companion, somewhat oddly, the Flag pledge appeared in the october issue of the magazine, celebrating mainly- and quite likely- as a big celebration fair was going on in Chicago at the time- Columbus Day! On the Navy songs angle there are others, one should not confuse merchant sea-chanteys such as ( Blow the Man down) which was originally associated with the long defunct Black Ball shipping line ( sailing ships) and indirectly linked to whaling- where Blow the Man down had a different connotation. The subject of naval songs is well worthy of research. Be advised, a good many are parodies on familiar, and often patriotic songs such as ( Battle Hymn of the Republic). there are some originals though.
