a vegetable sandwich doesn't contain anything
A vegetable-based glue called "gum arabic" is commonly used in cigar making to adhere the outer wrapper. Gum arabic is derived from the sap of the acacia tree and is food-grade safe. It is preferred for its natural properties and ability to create a strong bond.
almost anything
Anything with seeds is a fruit; not a vegetable. Apples, bananas, tomatoes, oranges, grapes: has seeds; fruit. Carrots, potatoes, cabbage: no seeds; vagetable.
coffee, tobacco, sugarcane.. pretty much anything that is a luxury, or not needed for survival.
Squash, pumpkin, cucumbers, bell peppers and avocado. Fungi is separate. Seed-bearing (Reproductive) parts of a plant are fruits. The rest of the plant is vegetable. Fungi are not plants. If you are speaking scientifically/botanically this is true. Most of us think nutritionally however. Sweet=Fruit, Non-sweet=vegetable. If you are talking science anything that bears seeds is a fruit. If you are talking about cooking and nutrition it's a whole different ballgame. Any chef or grocer will tell you a green bean is a vegetable even though it is scientifically a fruit. While peanuts are technically fruits, a nutritionist would classify them as a fatty-protein. The eggplant is technically a berry.
use anything
