As the owner of the game, I would say the sequel is much better because:
- You get to ride Yoshi.
- Once you die 8 times, a cosmic Rosalina will guide you to the star.
- You get the world Map.
- There are new suits such as Rock Mario and Cloud Mario.
- And you can play as Luigi once you get enough stars.
Also, the final Bowser battle music is more epic than the first although most people disagree.
