Yes! Its wonderful in fact. It adds a nice flavour to the cake and does not make it that much sweeter. What I also do is warm up half a cup of milk on the stove, add teaspoon of sugar and some sweetened grated coconut all together in one.
After the cake is done I poke holes in the cake with a fork, then gradually pour the milk mixture sparingly on the cake with a teaspoon, and let the cake cool for the night. It gives it another level of moisture. You should try it!
