No, that is high and the reason why so many women die of heart attacks. Thankfully, the medical community is taking women's health a little more seriously. My own mother died of kidney failure, but I also know she had untreated high blood pressure which I am sure contributed to her poor health.

Why alcohol consumption leads to increase in systolic blood pressure?

The reason why alcohol consumption leads to increase in systolic blood pressure is that is because Alcohol almost always raises blood pressure, causes weight gain & boosts triglyceride levels in the blood. What is the normal blood pressure for 69 years old?

The normal blood pressure is the same as a normal, healthy person of 120/80. 120 being the systolic pressure and 80 being the diastolic. The reason some elderly person's pressure may increase is due to hypertension or high blood pressure. Older people are more prone to this disorder. Therefore it is important to have your blood pressure checked by a health care professional. The instrument for measuring a blood pressure is called a sphygmomanometer.

Is blood pressure 120 over 52 ok for a 73 year old male?

Blood pressure of 140/73 might not require medication, but it does require some attention. Some simple lifestyle alterations, such as a minor change to your diet, or slightly adjusting your exercise routine could be all you need. Run "high blood pressure" through your favourite search engine. You'll come up with plenty of information. Check your blood pressure regularly at one of those machines you often see in drug stores, and have your doctor check it a few times a year as well.

Is a pulse rate of 91 good?

Your blood pressure is measured by systolic (the top number) and diastolic (bottom number). A blood pressure of 93/71 is generally within normal limits. A blood pressure of greater than 150/95 is considered high and lower than 90/40 is considered low. Symptoms of a low blood pressure may include dizziness when standing up. A high blood pressure may have no symptoms and that is why everyone should get their blood pressure checked regularly.

What are theDangers of low blood pressure?

It depends on what the cause is. Blood pressure in women can typically run 90 to 100 systolic and be considered perfectly normal. Asymptomatic "low" blood pressure is not considered low blood pressure. If a person has normal (120/80 or less) or high blood pressure (greater than 130/80 or more) and the pressure drops significantly with changing body positions, (i.e., from lying to sitting or standing; sitting to standing), and has symptoms, there is a problem which must be identified and attended to immediately by a physician. See your physician for your blood pressure evaluation.

What is a healthy blood pressure for a thirteen year old boy?

The average blood pressure does not vary with age. It is usually around 120/80. I do know what i am talking about for both parents are doctors and I have reecently been sick, so I have had my blood pressure taken many many times and have overheard the average blood pressure many times. So, all though i am only an eleven year old girl, I do know what i am talking about, even if just for this question. I looked it up again, just to double check myself, so i do have the right answer. So a healthy blood pressure would be right around 120/80 for anyone.

Can a diastolic blood preasure reading be zero with a systolic of 110?

In many pregnant women, the 4th phase karatkoff sound is audible even though there is no pressure in the cuff. Hence, this leads to a 5th phase karatkoff sound (diastolic pressure reading) of 0. So yes, a systolic reading of 110 and a diastolic of 0 is possible - an example would be in pregnancy.
