Being involved with JROTC for four years definitely makes a difference when looking to be accepted into a college.
I have many reasons for enrolling in JROTC. JROTC is all about me. It i devoted to my developement as both a student and a person. Although JROTC is very demanding I enjoy the challenge and the discipline. It improve my studing and test taking abilities and help me better focus on academics. JROTC also looks good on your college transcript. I get to travel and meet people i wouldn't normally meet and they become like a family to you. I agree with everything he said but also if your interested in the military JROTC will help you get a sneak preview on how the real military will be. Also if you want to be inlisted after high school it will almost guarentee you being accepted. JROTC is a great choice either way if you just want to become a better citizen or be involved in the military. I'm joining soon {next year} and I'm really excited. Person above me though what should i expect?
There are many factors that impact being accepted to college and differ based on the college being applied to. The basics are getting good grades, good test score and nice references.
It's the default. If you don't have JROTC or college credits, it's what you start off as. You'll see some people who start off as E2, E3, or E4 because they have JROTC or college, but you'll have caught up to them by the time they get promoted.

Well at least you can spell and use grammar, that's a plus on here.
As long as you pass all the appropriate college entrance exams and pass the state required high school graduation test, being accepted into college in NY shouldn't be a problem.

The classes you take in high school only aid you in being accepted to a college or university. However, some of the courses may be in the health science field, which would help you in your decision.
