- Liking and loving someone is two different things. If you find yourself suddenly in love with your friend then it is best to go slow and easy and perhaps suggest to your friend that you both go out on a real date just to see what it is like. If it doesn't work out then you won't feel embarrassed or risk a good friendship. A good friendship should be able to get through many obstacles in your relationship; even when one is in love with the other.
