Ford V6 engine FIREWALL 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 FRONT ------------------------------- Ford V8 engine FIREWALL 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 FRONT -----------------------------------
On the 4 cylinder its at the front of the motor On the V6 its on the passenger side of the motor , front cylinder
The number 4 cylinder is typically at the back of the motor while the number 1 cylinder is located at the front. This is done to minimize confusion and streamline the repair process.
1st cylinder up front on the drivers side is #1.
Passenger front cylinder is #1. Passenger rear cylinder is #4. Driver front is #5. Driver rear is #8. (And it's an engine not a motor.)
standing in front of your car and looking at the motor no. 1 is the left back cylinder
Firing order starts with the #1 cylinder which is normally the first cylinder closest to the front of the engine.
#1 is the cylinder closest to the front of the engine (where the belt is). On a V engine that is harder to tell unless you can see both heads at the same time.
The number one piston is always at the front side of the motor where the belts are. If it is a 4 cylinder. If it is a 6 cylinder its is always the 1st cylinder on the left side of the motor at the front where the belts are. Justin
Front driver side.
Looking at the motor compartment from the front of the truck, the number one cylinder is the first on the left (passenger side)of the motor.
The firing order is 1-4-3-2. From looking at the motor, cylinder 1 is right rear, cylinder 2 is right front, cylinder 3 is left rear, and cylinder 4 is left front.
