My son has been trying to remove my 6-cylinder Hyundai Sonata for 4 hours. He just got it - you have to pull the motor mount and jack the engine. OR take it to your local mechanic and save yourself the hassle.
theres more than ! head u would need a new wiring harness
Yes , the 1.5 liter , 4 cylinder engine , in a 1988 Hyundai Excel is an interference engine ( according to Gates , they make timing belts etc. )
Should be two .Power steering & alternator. 4 if you count the two timing belts
Top of the motor under the plastic engine cover. Look for a round black cylinder about 4-5" in diameter.
I have been told by the dealer that there are four.
It is an interference engine.
no it is an interference motor ans will likely bend valves in the timing belt goes
Here's a trick, in determaning what side the number 1 cylender is. Look at both heads, the head that is longer is the Number one head. Neat trick HUH? The location of the cylinder is the drivers side front , which would also be the front of the motor closest to the drivers side headlamp ..is would be for a 1995 Hyundai sonata v6 3000 motor. neat trick huh!
It is important to know the engine oil capacity of a vehicle. The 1999 Hyundai Sonata holds about 3 liters of engine oil.
The Sonata brand or model belongs to Hyundai Motor Company. No other car manufacturer is using it.
Yes, it does.
