Some are automatic, some are stick shift. Sorry that I can't answer any better, it just depends on what the original owner wanted.
With the 3 speed manual trans, 92 mph. With the 2 speed automatic trans, 91 mph.
No. You need a '98 - '02 tranny from the SAME engine type. SOHC and DOHC trannys do NOT mix
Yes front end on a coupe and hatchback are the same
What reservoir? Coolant? Washer fluid? Power steering? Brake? Slave cylinder?
Yes, Engine itself will be just fine to put in a 92. but some considerations to consider would be the transmission type, manual or automatic. they may look like the same mount up but make no mistake, the systems do not match without modification. you also may want to check the motor mount locations on the sub frame. in some cases the holes for the bolts can be in different locations. also make sure the exhaust manifold will match up if you are swaping between the DOHC (SC2, SL2, SW2) and the SOHC (SC1, SL1, SW1). The exhaust flanges always match so if the manifold from the new engine is different from the old engine, use the manifold from the new engine. , Just a bored Saturn mechanic. The 91s and 92s used different cranks, the CPS picks the signal off of a different spot than the new ones. The 92 computer would get wrong reading from a newer crankshaft.

No, it will not perform as it should. The 92 is OBD1 & the 2000 is OBD2. The ECU will not function correctly on this engine.
