NO
its a pickup sensor on the rear of gearbox and runs of a reluctor ring in the box same as a abs sensor ring
I don't know if it is the same as the Ford Mustang , but the BAP sensor was mounted on the firewall - good luck
Mines doing the same thing Does your speedo not work. And you O/D Flashes? BTW This is most of the time on the tail housing on the trans
Some of the 1992 Rangers had the camshaft position sensor on top of the engine in the same hole where the distributor used to be. Some Ranger engines did not use a camshaft sensor at all.
I just replace the abs speed sensor on my 2000 ford range for the same problem. It's located on the rear differial axle on top. cost approx. $23.00 for the sensor. 10 minutes to replace with the approiate socket. Nothing special.
www. motorcraft. com ( no spaces ) does not list a MAP sensor for the 3.0 L in a 1998 Ford Ranger , there is an AIR MASS SENSOR listed which I assume is the same as a mass air flow sensor which would be located near your air filter housing
CHECK FUEL PUMP REGULATOR, I HAD THE SAME.
The variable reluctance sensor is the same as the crankshaft sensor on the 92 Ranger. It is on the front of the engine beside the crankshaft pulley.
The camshaft position sensor is on top of the engine. It is on top of a shaft in the same place that older rangers had a distributor.
I own a 2000 B3000 2WD. To date, all repais have been consistant with those of a Ford Ranger ( Same Truck ). There are two on the ranger, both on the drive train, a simple bolt on. One on the Trany, and one on the Diff. You can see them both..
yes if the motors are the same.
is the crankshaft position sensor the same and the engine speed sensor
