Well, it doesn't exist anymore, does it? After two earthquakes in 1303 and 1323, it collapsed into the Mediterranean Sea in 1326. If that's not enough proof, divers in the Mediterranean Sea in 1994 discovered large limestone blocks underwater that they believed to have been from the lighthouse of Alexandria. There were/are plans to make it an underwater archaeological museum for divers.
