No. Pikas are very much adapted to high mountain range climate and diet, they require a large living space, they are very shy and so far no-one succeeded in domesticating any species of them. Their calls are very loud (though this be the smallest problem), and (as typical of all Lagomorpha) sudden stress can literally kill them. Not what you want unless you have sufficient funding for the project -- and at least a quarter acre of cold, rocky, snowline mountain land to keep them at.
Their pelts are very nice and soft though -- too bad you would need a good dozen of them for just a cap.
A good class pet would be a Guniea pig.

A hamster, gerbill, fish or mabey a lizard.
They both can be trained and mice usually bite a more often than hamsters do.
i guess the most common pets are dogs since these are good companions and are faithful animals.....................!!!!!!!!
