No, the Revolutionary War was the American War of Independence (from Britain).
The Civil War was the war between the Northern and Southern states (1861-1865).
There was no noticable weapons changes in the American Revolutionary War. Same old muskets, same old massed formations on the battlefields, same old bright colored uniforms, and same ole muzzle loading cannons.. Percussion cap ignited muskets would enter the scene with the Mexican War of 1846. Repeating metallic cartridge firing rifles would enter the scene in the US Civil War in 1861. Smokeless gunpowder would enter the history books with the Americans in the Spanish- American War of '98 with the vaunted 30-40 Krag bolt action rifle.
The main causes of surrender during the American Civil War are the same reason for surrender in any other war,... one side overwhelms the other.
The first major battle of the American Civil War was the First Battle of Bull Run or the First Battle of Manasas (they are the same battle but with a different name)
The Battle of Saratoga was part of the Revolutionary War. It was considered the turning point of the war.
They are NOT the same. However Civil war may pave way for Independence like Bangladesh. And civil war may not lead to independence at all. After Independence civil war may happen like US of America, which did not result in another spell of Independence. The American War of Independence in 1775 was a civil war. The colonists were British just as much as the British in Barbados or the Isle of Wight. The only became "Americans" after they had gained their independence and been recognised as a new country.
They happened about 100 years apart.
No. Civil unions are not legal in American Samoa.
I assume you are referring to the american revolutionary war
no it is notyes it is but just a shorter way
Revolutionary war is usually the people standing up to a government they don't like any more , and civil war is the fight between two different groups or religions in the same country
The same as for the Revolutionary War. Tariffs, taxation without representation, and unfair trade practices.
They both have the same people living in the same country fighting against each other. That is why it is called a Civil War.
The main cause of the Civil War in the United States was the issue of slavery, specifically whether it should be allowed to expand into new territories. This heightened tensions between the Northern and Southern states over the economic, political, and social implications of slavery, ultimately leading to the outbreak of the war in 1861.
Uh, yes, that's the American Civil War.
None. Those are two names for the exact same war.
A real revolution is where one group tries to overthrow the existing government of its country and take over themselves. In the American "Revolution" the American Patriots were not trying to take over England, they wanted to separate their land from England. This makes the American Revolution more of a colonial insurrection, or colonial rebellion. Similarly, a civil war is much the same as a revolution - two groups contending for control of ALL of a single country. The south in the US Civil War did not want to control the north, merely to separate from it. The real name given in the Official Records of the "Civil War" published by the US government is "The War of the Rebellion". Like so many other things about that war, nobody can agree on much, not even what to call it.
A Civil War is simply a war between two or more groups within the same country. Whether it is between political groups and revolutionary groups, or some other type of group, all Civil Wars start this way.
