Absolutely not. There is some confusion of the origins of certain churches so let me clear this up. The Roman Catholic church was established around 300 AD by Augustine. Every denomination can be traced back to the Catholic church with the only exception of the Baptist church. Baptists can be traved back to Jesus. Our Lord Jesus Christ was baptised by John the Baptist......not John the Catholic. Not John the Presbyterian..etc. Jesus proclaimed that "Upon this rock I will build My church" You have to look for the pronouns in The Bible to fully understand it. Baptist denomination is not and never has been protestant, despite what many confused scholars will try to tell you.
All Christian denominations came from the Catholic Church, or came from those denominations that broke from the Catholic Church.

I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination. The fastest growing Christian 'branch' is the 'nondenominational' branch. (This 'branch' doesn't claim to have a denominational title, but are simply called Christians).
