Is the DS Lite or the DS better?

TheDS Lite is better than a DS because the DS Lite screen is more brighter than the DS And I hear that the DS Lite can use text and u can send the text to a friend or someone who has a DS Lite, but u have to know the user name of the person But the DS is kind of better for one reason ,and one reason only the price. The DS Lite costs between $69.00 - $256.99 on online stores and $129.99 - $157.00 on local stores The DS costs between $38.99 - $99.00 (mainly $77.00) on online stores and $76.00 - $86.99 on local stores, but they don't sell them anywhere except Game stop/EB games.

So my choice is the *DS Lite*!!

i would have to say the ds is much better because i had a ds lite and i dropped it once and the hinge broke. my friend has a ds and said that he has dropped on accident so many times and it hasn't broke yet. but now i would get the newest one the dsi which is more like the ds lite but the dsi now has a camera you can add music you could add pictures and do everything you could do with the ds lite. but still i would get the ds or the dsi .

adding to that, in terms of the recent news, your better off waiting until march next year,n where the 3DS is coming out.

my freinds ds's have broken hindges on theres and they NVR dropped there's i droped my ds lite loads of times and the hindges nvr broke stick with the ds lite or the dsi chuck the normal ds in the bin

I have DS lit and it is pretty good. the L and R buttons are glitchy but that's specific to my console. If you ask me though, 3DS is out, and it has all features of previous DS's and DSi (except Game Boy compatibility) plus 3D games and 3D camera. I'd go with 3DS. Even hoping to get one myself once it's been out a while and prices drop.
