The 3.0 software, which costs $9.95, claims to provide Bluetooth functionality. Thus far, there are NO reports of full Bluetooth headset functionality with this upgrade. The typical report is that headphone works, but microphone does not. Before spending $10, research online to confirm that someone else has succeeded in enabling the iPod Bluetooth functionality that you desire.

I have tried the X5 headset with three LG Dares including two from a Verizon store (one was new out of the box and one was a floor model). It would NOT pair with any of them. We tried upgrading the LG Dare software on my phone to the latest version. It made no difference. The same headset paired OK with an LG Env, LG Env Touch, and a Blackberry. The BlueAnt X5 Headset IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE LG DARE! I threw away my money on the one headset that is completely useless to me.
