The US M240 machine gun is currently manufactured by FNH-USA in Columbia, South Carolina (as is the M249), so it is manufactured in the US. Some of the earlier models (as well as earlier models of the M249 taken into US service) were imported from Belgium. There are rumours that some receivers and other components may have been imported from Canada (Another Country where the MAG is manufactured under licence), but I personally have seen no evidence to support this.
