"Malton" dogs are not a breed, but a cross/mix of a purebred Maltese with the Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon Frise mix). Both the Maltese and Bichon Frise are low shedding, low dander dogs that are often good with people with Allergies, however, typically the Spaniels, like the Cavalier King Charles, are not considered low shedding or low dander dogs. You would just need to "try out" the dog in your home for a few days before the decision is made to get that type of dog. Even purebred dogs can cause different reactions in people with allergies, so you usually must test each individual dog, not just a breed of dogs to see how you do. Most reputable breeders will let you take the dog home for a trial, or will at least make them available to you to spend time with them to see how the allergic response goes.

The poodle breed are wonderful for people with asthma because they are hypoallergenic, no shedding at all and they do not have any odor except maybe after they have been running in the back yard but it goes away soon and he smells good again.
