There will not be a Pikmin released for the DS. Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were originally released by Nintendo exclusively for their GameCube console, however both games have been upgraded with the 'New Play Control!' to enable them to be played on the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo has confirmed they are working on Pikmin 3 for the Wii which is coming out somewhere near the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010. There will definitely not be a Pikmin game for the Nintendo DS. There is only one planned release of Pikmin, and that is Pikmin 3 coming out for the Wii.
