The PCM is the powertrain control module ( engine computer ). There are also abs, airbag, transmission, body, cluster, and HVAC computers on a 2001 Intrepid.
If same size, yes.
The motor will fit since everything is the same in the Intrepid from 1998 to 2004. There are 3 different motor sizes, 2.7L, 3.2L, and 3.5L. The motor mounts and the basic configuration is different on the 2.7L. The 3.5L is an expanded 3.2 so those 2 are the same. Also make sure the transmissions are identical. The main thing to compare is the amount of connectors on the engine computer. The target wheels for the cam and crank sensors are different after about 2002. If the computer has 2 connectors, an engine from a car with 4 connectors will not work.
The Dodge Intrepid was always front wheel drive.
i have the same model and i use 5w30....its typical
most likely, but call a dealerships parts department and see if the part numbers are the same...:)
Yes the ecm and the engine computer are the same thing.
yes
Sounds like a very weak battery.
Make sure Stop lights are working--interlock is same circuit

I have a 2000 intrepid so I think it is the same. You have to take off passenger side wheel. There is a panel toward the front of the car that you must remove and the battery is behind it on a little tray.
I have 2002 intrepid that does the same thing this week the light came on and does not go off volt meter shows 14. volts while the light is on. put a new battry on didnot help.
