No, absolutely not. A Sports Car by definition is low slung, 2 seat, 2 door, precise handling, brisk acceleration, and great braking ability automobile. The Pontiac Sunfire meets none of the criteria of a Sports Car except it is a 2 door. The Sunfire is a clone of the Chevy Cavalier and is nothing more than a inexpensive compact car.
I think it's considered a performance car.
No! but cavliers, eclipses, volvos and lexus's are. A sunfire is pure Pontiac PERFORMANCE!
Yes. The Pontiac G6 GT is a car that is produced by Pontiac. It is considered a sports car even though it is a compact family car. The engine is a v6 though.
Is a Pontiac Grand Prix considered a sports car? A Sports car was a car that could be raced in the Grand Prix on the weekend and used to take the kids to school during the week. Generally it has no back seat, light weight, and has the engine between the wheels for better weight distrubution. It was a track racing, street car. The Pontiac Grand Prix is 100% street car. Despite its name it is not a racing, or sports car.
cavalier is basically the same
Under the car, in the rear.
Than what? They are a low end vehicle not a sports car, so I would think on the lower end == vehicle rate wise.
To fix the Pontiac Sunfire if it jumped time, the timing belt has to be replaced. Then the car has to have the timing set again after the belt is replaced.
"Yes, it is considered a sports car even though it is a compact car because of the engine. The engine in this car is a v6 but it has 200 horsepower, which is kind of high for a family car."
How is the ignition key switch replaced on the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire? And after replacing the switch would I have to have it Towed to the Pontiac Dealer in order to have the car key programed to the Computer?
Pontiac didn't make the Sunfire until '95. So, either you have the year of your car wrong, or it might be a Sunbird. If you can clarify this for us, we can help you.
