the gcse is not as hard as the act or sat at all.youll do fine if you study for it and try your best for studying and taking it.that's why the gcse isn't nearlly as popular as the act or sat because its not nearlly as hard(not saying that its easy as pie because youll have to work for it definetily)but colleges prefer if you take the act or sat(still take the gcse though - its a good oppurtinty not everyone gets)
the act is pretty hard but if study for it you will be fine trust me.youll do better on the act if you are good at math and science because the large majority of the act is science and math(theres still English though)also your GPA can project your act score(not saying its accurate but it will give an idea).if you took the explore test in middle school its been proven it will boost your score.many middle schools are requirng their students to take the explore.
the sat in my opioinion is the hardest just cause it mainly focuses on engilsh which is my weakest subject(im more commforable in math and science and i do very well in it)you should start to prepare for the sat(and the act too) around 7th grade if you want to do well but don't worry if you didnt just don't wait till junior year.the English on the sat is VERY hard.you must be in and out with your vocabulary(same with the act just not as much)also on the writing part when they ask you to improve the sentence its VERY hard because all the improvments seem correct so be VERY grammaricaly correct.
hope this helps- i know its alot of info im just trying to help!
and sorry for all the spelling errors i was kinda of in rush writing this
The ACT is an achievement test, while the SAT is more of an aptitude test. I hope this is the information you need and it also helps me to understand both terms.
Being that the enrollment to each of the tests is voluntary, there is no evidence that the ACT or SAT is harder than the other. Both tests were designed for the same purpose. The specific school of choice may have an opinion as to which test needs to be completed before admission, however, which test is taken is up to the individual. Yes and if not ACT you must at least have the SAT. After doing the normal ACT or SAT for most Ivy League schools you must have at least 3 SAT Subject Test Scores sent.
Most SAT preparation books I have seen are usually about the same level as SAT. Some other test prep books will intentionally put harder material, so that the actual exam seems easier in comparison.
Most schools usually do ACT's over the SAT's, but i believe either test is reasonable. Some people test better than others on the ACT's then the SAT's and vise versa.

Each section of the SAT is scored on a scale of 200 to 800 with 2400 being the highest possible combined score. The ACT, on the other hand, scores each section on a scale of 1 to 36. Your total composite score is the average of all four sections of the test. However, there is no official conversion chart between the ACT and SAT. The average score in 2007 for the ACT was a 21, for SAT it was a 1500. US Geography-wise the tests differ like an Oreo. SAT being the chocolate cookies and the ACT being the creamy filling. The east and west coasts favor the SAT but the midwest and south favors the ACT. Although all colleges except each, I would still take and work harder at getting a better score in the more favored test of whatever state or region you are wanting to attend. Mmm... now I'm hungry. Both the SAT and ACT include an essay, but the key difference is that the essay on the SAT is mandatory while the ACT essay is optional. If you plan on taking the ACT make sure you check with your prospect

The most likely test that is a true alternative to the sat is the act. which test is right for you can only be answered by you.For more information on both tests http://blog.karendillard.com/2011/04/27/sat-vs-act%C2%AE-which-test-is-right-for-you/.

The ACT was first administered in the year 1959. It was made as a competitor to the SAT by Everett Franklin Lindquist.
To get an admission into harvard, you need between 2100-2300 in the SAT test
