Is the Samsung Delve cell phone a quality cell phone?

The Samsung R800 "Delve" is a touchscreen cell phone offered by Alltel & U.S. Cellular. This phone has been said to get bad reception. Other than that it is made by a quality manufacturer and is a quality phone. I recently purchased the samsung delve sch r800, I absolutely love it my service provider is Alltell I had centennial wireless, Sprint/nextel, and the delve is the best reception I have ever had with a cell phone. The downside is it does not rotate the screen as you rotate the phone like an iPhone does but all in all I will never own another cell phone without a touch screen. it has a couple cool features such as writing recognition for text messages, you just write on the screen and it types the corresponding letter. it also has widgets on the main screen which holds weather a writng pad for quick notes or u can draw a picture (great for the kids to keep busy or a quick shopping list. u can also draw on your pictures u take with the phone, no flash is a drawback as well. the web browser is not wi fi so it is a little slow but not bad. it features email on demand tv with about fifteen channels ie. discovery, spike,vh1,MTV,usa, bravo,fox sports, nbc sports,access Hollywood, sci fi,cmt,telemundo,nbc comedy, nick, TLC, animal planet, ign, a heros ch,comedy central,atom films,accuweather,tr3s, to name a few there is more than this just make sure u get the phone plan that has unlimited data!! otherwise it will charge u to get online and watch tv. some of the channels are live feeds but for the most part they have sub folders with hundreds of episodes in each one for each channel/and each show. that's bad ass. it also has a lady's voice that tells u who is calling via caller id and what namwe u have them stored under, ie; she says call from Shawn eastgetup so if the phone is in your pocket and u have your bluetooth in your ear u can decide weather or not to answer it without looking at ur phone. u can add a memory card in the slot provided up to 8 gb's and the phone comes with 143 mb's internal memory.it also comes with a free alltel navigation for voice comanded turn by turn directions while traveling. In the main menu under settings u can check for phone updates anytime u want so lets say your provider upgraded the web browser for all of their phones u can just select check for updates and it will tell u if any are availabe, u can do this anytime u want to. it also has voice recognition for your voice commands to open menu options, voice dialing, it is powered by nuance communications, very nice options u can do anything the phone has to offer without touching the phone at all. the weather widget has live doplar radar and u can add as many locations for curren weather or forcasts. it also has a nice video camera that allows u to film 3 seconds, 10second, or an hour of video at a time the camera is a 2 mega pixel but takes great pics and video , it has as many options as my personal cannon 40D as far as settings white balancing mosaic, and so on, so I hope this helps u out and have a great Easter and remember the samsung delve sch r800 is all out rediculous. and Alltel is great they also offer a 30 day trial with any phone as many times u want if u find u don't like it just return it no questions asked and try the blackberry pearl or whatever, if u don't like that return it before ur 30 days are up until u find the one u desire, i highly recomend the first purchs u have to get is a screen saver it saves ur screen from being scratched also get a leather case for it that has a stylis holder as the phone itself does not have one. enjoy, sincerely, djty777
