Is The Sims 2 or The Sims 3 better?

The sims 2 by far!

SIMS 2 RULES! read below if you want too, but I wrote lots of stuff, but it may help you understand why sims 2 is better than 3.

I have been playing the sims 2 for at least a year, and I am proud to say I am a addict (I do have a social life though). Let me enlighten your question. This Christmas I asked for sims 3, and being a mac owner, found out I have to upgrade my mac to purchase The Sims 3. I spent 170 some odd dollars on upgrades, and when I finally got to play it, I was VERY dissapointed. The reason I am answering this, is because I don't want other chaps to waste their money. When I first started the game, I went straight to Create-A-sim. when I entered, hoping to just play around with it, my whole sim was glitchy, and its whole body was pitch black. I thought it was just a bug, and redownloaded it. Same problem. I ignored it, with effort. I decided it was time to play with the actual sim. I was happy to find out the sim looked fairly normal, except that when I zoomed in on it, its hair was a odd transparent blue. I looked at the control panel, and was very confused. It was cluttered with confusing stuff. I had no idea what the like, temporary mood thing was, and I spent loads of time trying to find the basic needs. the game was VERY slow, and I hated the way that you could zoom out and see the whole town, which made it very glitchy. And (Coming from a mac owner) the game froze repeatedly. Long story short, it kinda sucks. I went back to playing the sims 2 immediatly. Just don't waste you money.

EDIT: just so you know, if you install the PC version on a Mac, it isn't too good. if you install it right, it is so much fun its addictive. sims 3 is unbelievably more fun than sims 2. as for the answer above, im sure eb games will give you a full refund, and you can get the mac version.

btw im very sorry if you do have the mac version and im being mean for nothing. it would totally be like me to do something like that.

(that was my opinion, other people may like the sims 2 more anyway, the only way you will know for sure is if you try it.)

my oppinion would be the sims 2 because the sims 3 takes a really long time to create a sim but it has more stuff than the sims 2 but the sims 2 has better quality and more pack and is less expensive. they r both good games but that's just my oppinoin.

There are definitely things you will miss from The Sims 2, but The Sims 3 is better. For instance, you only play one household at a time. The plus side is that the whole town ages at the same rate, but on the downside, once a sim moves out, you either stay with the old household or you play the new household. You can't switch between the two very easily. And there are other little things like that, but its worth it.

i don't have the Sims 3 !!! but i have the Sims 2, Sims 2 pet, glamour life and open for business and every one can agree that the Sims 3 is way better the the Sims 2 and 1
