The U.S. Constitution states that there should be no establishment of religion. However, most Americans are Christian, and voting patterns reflect that...

Example--the passing of Proposition 8 in California. The main proponents were the Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Mormon church.

If the Constitution is followed, it should be thrown out as an "establishment of religion"--even though a majority of Californians are Christian and vote according to their religion.
