Mary's mother, traditionally referred to as the Virgin Mary, is believed to have lived in a house located near Ephesus, Turkey. This site, known as the House of the Virgin Mary, is a popular pilgrimage destination and is thought to be where Mary spent her final years. The house was declared a holy site by Pope Paul VI in 1967, attracting many visitors who come to honor her legacy.
After Our Lord's death, resurrection and ascension, St. John the Apostle took Mary in as his mother. They moved for a time to Ephesus which is now part of modern Turkey.

I went to Turkey with the US Army in 1987 and we took a tour of Ephesus on the Asian side and the tour guide showed us a house that he claimed that Mary lived out her final days in after the death of Yahshuah.
