Occupation means the same thing as job. "My new occupation is lifeguarding." "My new job is lifeguarding."
I was 15 when I started working- lifeguarding, it was easy to get certified and the job literally requires no work. Except for checking chlorine etc... You can get certified at your local YMCA and there's usually job offers in the newspaper. Not sure of the age req tho.
