Notch (the creator of minecraft) hasnt talked about the aether mod at all. But he is planning of putting a "sky" dimension in minecraft. He may buy the mod from the people who made the aether but he may not and bring out a completely different type of thing. But the sky dimensions sounds like the aether so I'm guessing yes, yes it will.
