Sometimes the army can be fun. You can meet new people, form new friendships, become physically fit and help people in a crisis, e.g. handing out food and supplies in times of crisis (like an earthquake or tsunami).
The army can also not be fun as well. If you are sent to fight in war it can be bad. You have to kill people, and that always takes a toll on people mentally.
