The Bible is kind of like the Dictionary or an Encyclopedia- It is one book when you pick it up, but inside there are a bunch of other books, or sections. They are referred to as the "Books of the Bible". Like the Books Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are all stories of the life of Jesus. The book of Psalms is all songs. The book of Leviticus is all about the laws, and so on. One big book with sections called books inside. It's a little confusing but it works because the bible is never really read as a whole, people read different books inside, because they all hold different things. go to a book store and pick one up, it makes more sense when you see it.
