It depends on how you define an "island". In the broadest definition, an island is a landmass entirely surrounded by water. By this definition, all the continents are islands with Afro-Eurasia being the largest, the Americas next, then Antarctica, and finally Australia. Obviously Afro-Eurasia varies from extremely hot to bitterly cold, as do the Americas. Antarctica is always somewhere between cold and "you've-got-to-be-kidding-how-can-ANYTHING-be-this-cold!".
Note that Australia is often considered the biggest island; Australia can get very hot but gets a bit chilly during winter.
If you classify Australia as a continent rather than an island, then the biggest island is Greenland. Greenland IS rather cold.
