Yes. Those are usually called floaters and believe it or not they are very common and harmless. Some stuff that lies around the eye breaks up and so the separation causes this which gets it's name due to the fact that it floats around but dissapears after a while and may reappear again!
- The Above answer is obviously not what you were looking for. As you clearly asked "White spot on eye", not "White floaters in vision". I'm no expert but I believe they can be fatty deposits that either will or will not go away simply depending on how lucky you are. Sorry couldn't be of more help, I was searching the same sort of thing as I have a chest infection and have developed this small white thing on my eye that is sore. Just had to make sure the other person realised their answer is more useless than mine! Would be nice if people read the questions before answering them.
