actually yes i read maniac magee in fourth grade (which i am in now) and watched the movie but if you have read the book the movie is related but certain parts are very different for example they skip the part when maniac lives with Grayson when he lives with aunt Dot and uncle Dan and instead of kissing a buffalo he kisses a rhino and the ending will definitely surprise you
