The reptilian brain contains the cerebellum and brain stem. It is present in reptiles and therefore called the reptilian brain. It is the oldest part of the brain and regulates vital functions like breathing, heart rate and flight or fight response.

Lizard brain is when you are so tired that parts of your brain starts to shut down, and you are left with the more reptilian parts of your brain. It makes you act more crazy then you normally would, and might make you giggly. This is why little kids get so crazy when they get really tired.
