No you don't, the front and rear brakes are independent of one another. -Sean Ford Mechanic Riverside,CA
Apply your parking brake a bunch of times.
There are couple reasons. You could damage one of detectors. You have to adjust breaks. You didn't tighten bolts properly. Breaks were no assambled properly. You didn't adjust calipers. If the light was on before changing, disconnect the negative battery cable for couple minutes to reset the computer. After connect it back and check the light again.

Try looking under the middle console in your car, you should be able to adjust your handbrake from there
you don't brake calipers are hydraulic & cannot be adjusted
There is a set screw on the back of the Caliper that you turn to compress the piston. You use the same set screw to adjust the brakes when you change brake pads.
Go to the mechanic down the blocc
It sounds like a specialist mechanic is needed to adjust the parking system.
nothing
Cailbers have NO adjustment. They have a piston that moves in and out as the brake is pushed down.
