Hot tropical climate is hot, humid and wet, like the Amazon Rainforest. A cool temperate climate is much cooler, doesn't rain as often, it's not humid at all
No, It is not. A continental climate is over land, like New Mexico. Temperate is near the ocean, like Seattle.
The three climate zones (tropic, temperate, and polar) are separated vy imaginary lines on the Earth's surface (like the Equator). The tropic zone is in between the Tropic or Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, the temperate zone is in between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Cirlce and between the Tropic or Capricon and the Antarctic Circle. The polar zone is the rest. I hope that made sense. ;)

New York City does not have a tropical climate. It is in a temperate zone and thus a temperate climate. A sub tropical climate would be a place like florida. On a wider basis, the southeastern USA has a subtropical climate.
in a temperate or tropical climate
Hot tropical climate is hot, humid and wet, like the Amazon Rainforest. A cool temperate climate is much cooler, doesn't rain as often, it's not humid at all
Tropical because it cant be cold that's why its the desrt The above answer previously posted by someone is completely senseless. The definition of a desert is an area which has a higher rate of evaporation than precipitation. The polar ice-caps are considered a desert just like the Sahara desert. To answer the question above, there is no such thing as a polar tropical climate region and the desert biome can be found anywhere that matches its definition. More specifically, just a desert can be classified further into categories like polar desert, temperate desert, and tropical desert.

People tend to live in areas of the world that, how do you say it, have temperate climates. Not many people like to live in polar climates, or dry climates. So temperate climate zones are the way to go.
