Is the dealer required to award you the pot if you win the hand and are not present at the table?

If it is a condoned bet by a casino or someplace official like that then, I think that yes they would, but if it is just a lousy game between a few people then no. But, if the person has honor and/or proof that you did not cheat him out of his money and yet he does not pay you then that would just make him less of a man for not being able to own up to his own word.

What is the standard gameplay for poker?

In casual play, the right to deal a hand typically rotates among the players and is marked by a token called a dealer button. In a casino, a house dealer handles the cards for each hand, but the button is rotated clockwise among the players to indicate a nominal dealer to determine the order of betting. One or more players are usually required to make forced bets that go towards either an ante or a blind bet. The dealer shuffles the cards, the player one chair to his right cuts, and the dealer deals the appropriate number of cards to the players one at a time. Cards may be dealt either face-up or face-down, depending on the variant of poker being played. At the end of each round, all bets are gathered into the central pot. During the following rounds opponents choose to call, fold or raise. The best hand takes the pot.

What is poker pot equity?

Poker pot equity refers to you being able to get enough from a pot given your hand prior to making a betting decision. So if you have a good poker hand, but the pot is small, you would be getting bad pot equity to make a large bet. ALternatively, if you have a good hand and the pot is big, you may want to bet into this pot as you will be getting good pot equity.

The dealer deals out three cards to everyone and you have to try to make the best hand out of what you have. If theres a wild card then that can be used for any suit or or card. When the dealer starts to count everyone picks up there cards and holds them in the air if you have a good hand when the dealer gets to three hold your cards if you dont drop them, if you hold your cards and loose, you have to pay what ever amount that was in the pot for the next game.
