Yes, the laptop is good. But do not expect much from 525m. While it is not bad, it is really far from allowing you to play high demanding games (Crisis 2 etc) with all graphics options enabled.

The Geforce 8 series and the best is the Nvida Geforce 8800 Ultra (768 MB of memory, 384-bit, 103.7 GB/second of bandwidth). If you think to buy one buy a Nvidia, are better, faster and cheapest than others (incluiding Ati Radeon). I Don't know how old the answer before mine was but it is clearly out of date. The best Nvidia graphics card out right now Jan 2011 is the Geforce GTX 580. For specs look it up their website. Runs any visuals at 1980x 1280x, x16 antialiasing, highest setting, with over 90 frames per second. (smooth frames per second is 30 to 40)

A good computer for gaming is a custom built computer. I "Gaming" computer is classified as a computer with extreme speed and graphics. Most gaming computer cost a lot of money. The questions you have to ask yourself is: What is my budget? What games will I be playing? What do these games require? There are tons of gaming computers out there that can play any game on the max. settings, Like mine. However to answer your question, In my opinion and unlimited funds, I would go with: Any ASUS board with PCI-E V3, Intel Core I7 Extreme, GeForce GTX TITAN, SSDs for hard drives, at least 12 GB DDR3 ram, and Any of SoundBlaster's HD audio cards. If you want a computer that is already pre-built, I would choose any Alienware gaming desktops from Dell.

Hi, I have a pretty good PC overall, Intel i5 Quad Core Processor, 8GB RAM, but the only bad part is it has Intel Integrated HD Graphics. Now I have a pretty tiny PC, in length its about the same size as an Xbox 360 Game disc and in width its about 2 inches. I wanna use this for gaming and be able to run games like DayZ and Battlefield on high settings smoothly. My question is can I get a good graphics card for a PC of the size of mine? Mine, for example, has slots only for PCI cards and I must buy PCI. You can find out what type of slots your computer has by calling TigerDirect.
