No , it is not an interference engine ( according to the Gates website , they make
timing belts etc . )
Interference
they are the exactly the same, so yes a turbo engine will fit in a non turbo talon
A 4g63 motor
If they both have the 4g63 2.0l motor then yes
Yes much trouble. The motor mounts are not the same as well as the axels. It would be easier for you to convert the 420a engine to a turbo modified. They make turbos kits for the 420a
2.0 liter
6-bolt 4g63 engine (1st gen dsm motor) 2nd gen can be adapted to fit (7 bolt 4g64)
"it most certainly will"Let's eleborate on that. Yes it CAN, but you still have to make some modifications to make it work. If you are buying a junkyard engine to install then you need to do your homework, because it will NOT simply plug and play. The motor may fit, but the engine management is different between the two cars, and that will cause you problems.
yes
There is no difference. Both the Neon and Eagle Talon ESI share the same 420A motor.
Yes, the Chrysler 420a was produced in the early to mid 90's and put into a number of cars. Including the Mitsubishi eclipse and the eagle talon, it is the same engine and essentially the same car.
Yes, they are interchangeable, but if you plan to put a 95 motor in a 92, do not do it. The 7bolt motors experience crankwalk, which is bad. But if you're putting a 92 motor in a 95, go for it! I just finished putting a 91 motor in my 95. It's quite a bit of work, and you have to know what you're doing. There are plenty of guides out there for a 6bolt swap.
