Yes and no... It is the 4th book writen by this author but is the prequal. The children already had a concluding book so this just has Nicholas Benedict in it. I don't know about you, but I'm super phscyed!\
Note: Technically speaking, it's the 5th book, not the 4th. This book comes out spring 2012. There is another MBS book, though not a novel, that comes out October 11 of 2011. It is called Mr. Benedict's Book of Perplexing Puzzles, Elusive Enigmas, and Curious Conundrums.
There will be a prequel called "The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict" and it will come out 2012. There will not be a fourth book like with Mr. Curtain and the Whisperer, because the Whisperer is destroyed so you can't do anything with it.
At the moment, there is no official announcement of a fourth book in The Mysterious Benedict Society series. However, the author, Trenton Lee Stewart, has not ruled out the possibility of continuing the series in the future. Fans will need to stay tuned for any updates on new releases.
