There are a few different ticket costs for the Universal Studios attraction in Hollywood. You can purchase a VIP Experience ticket for $299.00, Buy a Day, Get a Free Year ticket for $84.00, and a Front of the Line Pass for $169.00.
If you get the front of the line pass, you will not wait more than 5 minutes on any ride. I did it on a Sunday afternoon and covered every ride and attraction within 4 hours.
If you call the 1 800 number the connection line could most likely tell you what you need to know.

The best way is probably to drive. You can take public transportation, but since they're about 35 miles apart and served by different transportation authorities, you will have to change buses and/or trains at least once. Probably the best option is to use an OCTA bus between Disneyland and Fullerton Station (or Anaheim Station) in Anaheim, the Orange County Line train between that and LA Union Station, and the Metro Red Line train between Union Station and the Universal/Studio City station, which is only about half a mile from Universal Studios.
It could be an error on the networks part, I just started watching it and saw the universal logo as well and came on the internet looking for the same answer. Although they could own the rights to distribute it on movie channels and such, I couldn't imagine why Universal would own the rights to a New Line Cinema film at all.
If you are a Southern California resident, the ticket prices now are $54 (The price of a child's admission) and it is $74 for an annual no blackout date pass. If you are outside of So. Cal, general admission is $64 for adults and $54 for children ages 3 and up.
