NO. There is a strainer in the fuel tank, but the filter is not located inside the fuel tank. The filter is external.

The filter may be integrated into to fuel pump or it will be located between the fuel tank and the engine. Crawl under the vehicle and follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine and if you do not find the filter it is located in the tank and is a permanent filter.
