Because you have a spoiler, Honda likely decided to not even include a light socket for the high mount brake light (behind rear window). It's because the spoiler fin blocks this high mount light anyways.Pop the trunk and check to see if a light bulb socket even exists for the high mount brake assembly. If a socket doesn't exist (and you don't see one hanging) then no worries, it was a Honda decision. This is the case for my 2000 Accord EX.
Remove the high mount brake light retaining screws from your Mazda Protg. Remove the high mount brake light wiring harness. Reverse the process to install your new high-mount brake light.

If you mean the high mount brake light either in the back window or above the tailgate, then yes. They all work simultaneously. If one is out, check the bulbs.

The B.O.O. switch or Brake On/Off switch is located at the top of the brake pedal assemble.
That would be the relay for the "Center High Mount Stop Light", AKA the third brake light.
Just unscrew it.
To change the high mount brake light in a Kia Optima, first, locate the access panel in the rear trim of the vehicle, usually near the top of the rear window. Remove any screws or clips securing the panel and gently pull it away. Disconnect the electrical connector from the old light, replace it with a new bulb, and reconnect the electrical connector.
