No, the messaging app comes free with iOS 5.0
Free text messaging apps are available in the Apple App Store for IOS devices such as the Iphone and Ipod Touch. For Android phones, these can be found in the Android Market.
On an iPod Touch there is a text messaging app that I'm sure you're aware of known as SMS messaging. There is one now for multi-media messaging I believe it is called MMS. Try looking it up. I'm not sure if it is a free app though.
Buy an Ipod touch, as long as you have internet connection you just have to download an app for free. Or you could send a text message to people on Yahoo Messenger
If it's a paid app then you can't get i for free. Go Daily App Dream and App Shopper everyday to get a paid app on the ipod touch for free.
so far i have not seen a free call app for the ipod touch on its regular platform or jailbroken. I do have skype and i have made a call but it was not free.If u just want a good messaging and calling app(for free) download fring.
It doesn't come with messaging.
If it's an iPhone, yes, you can text in messages. If you have an iPod touch, you can download an app that enables you to text. There are free ones out there that are just as good as ones you have to pay for, so I reccommend looking for one! Any other iPod cannot text from what I know.
Yes. When you update your IPod you get a messaging app, which allows you to text other IPods that are also updated.
You can download an app like Textfree or, in iOS 5, you can message via iMessage app that comes with the update
text free
go to the app store app that came with the ipod
